Welcome to Mystic Pendulum Eights, a strategic card game where classic matching mechanics collide with an unpredictable alignment wheel of fate. You are playing against a computer intelligence to see who can completely clear their hand first.
The Core Rules
The Match Criteria: You must play a card from your hand that matches either the Suit or the Value of the card currently face-up on the discard pile.
Drawing Cards: If you do not have a matching card in your hand, you must tap the deck to draw a card.
The Turn Vector: Unlike traditional Crazy Eights, drawing a card immediately concludes your current turn. Even if the card you just drew is a perfect match, you must hold it in your hand and wait for the track to return to you on your next turn before you can play it.
The Crazy Eight & The Pendulum
The 8s are completely wild, but playing one is a massive gamble. When you or the computer plays an Eight, the game state shifts into an Alignment Spin:
Play the Eight: Lay down an 8 of any suit.
Execute the Rotation: Tap the center SPIN button to release the pendulum needle.
Accept the Verdict: The pendulum will land on one of the cosmic outcomes that instantly alters the hands or the board:
If it lands on YES: The Eight is accepted! You safely mutate the current suit vector to any suit you choose.
If it lands on NO: The Eight is rejected! The card is pulled back into your hand, and the match criteria resets to what it was before.
If it lands on MINUS 2 or MINUS 3: Absolute fortune! The engine instantly purges 2 or 3 cards out of your hand and buries them back in the deck. (Yes, you can dynamically win the game right here if this clears your hand!)
If it lands on ADD 2 or ADD 3: A penalty payload! Your opponent is forced to draw 2 or 3 extra penalty cards into their hand.
If it lands on SPIN AGAIN: The alignment is locked in a loop. You must spin the pendulum needle again until a decisive verdict is met.
Securing Victory
The first intelligence to successfully drop their hand down to 0 cards completely purges the matrix and secures total victory. Watch out for the computer saving an Eight for its last card—the pendulum might just force them to take it back!
